Muse is the first personal agent most people actually use every day, and it can build its own connectors. Dayleaf 2.5.0 gives it a door. Here is the whole setup, in the order you will do it.
1 · Sign in and open the door
Cloud access needs a Dayleaf account so the server knows whose journal it is. In Dayleaf (iPhone, Android or Mac) go to Settings → Cloud access for agents and switch it on. Dayleaf uploads a text-only copy of your entries and shows Synced just now with a count of what was mirrored.
2 · Create an API key
Tap Create API key, copy it. One key per agent is a good habit; you can revoke any of them later from the same screen.
3 · Paste the connector prompt into Muse
This is the exact text from our developer page. Muse will ask for the key through its credential flow, test the connection, and save the integration as a skill:
Build a custom integration to Dayleaf. Its MCP server URL is
https://date-jotter-production.up.railway.app/mcp and it needs a bearer token.
I want you to be able to write my daily weather, health and screen-time notes
into my journal and read back what I wrote, from any future conversation.
Connect to it, test every capability end to end, show me the results, and
save the integration as a reusable skill.
4 · Give it routines
Now talk to it like an assistant who has the keys to your diary:
- "Every morning, log yesterday's weather and my sleep and steps into Dayleaf, one line each, in planners called Weather and Health."
- "At 9 pm, ask me how the day went and write my answer into my journal."
- "On Sundays, summarise my week from my own entries into a Reflections planner."
Everything Muse writes shows a via muse chip in the app, on every device.
5 · Check your phone
Open today's page. The lines are there, in the right planners, with the chips. Your own entries sit underneath, untouched. If a line is wrong, edit or delete it like any other; Muse learns from the corrections you tell it about.
What Muse can and cannot do yet
Through the cloud door Muse can create planners, write and edit entries, and search. Stickers and goals are still Mac-only through the local API; they are next. It never sees photos, voice notes or videos, because those never leave your device. And your writing streak counts only what you wrote yourself.
