Importing from Day One

Settings → Import from Day One. You can pick a Day One .zip export or, for very large archives, unzip the export in the Files app first and pick the folder. Photos, videos and audio come along. If some media was still downloading from iCloud, just run the import again — it fills in whatever was missed.

Backing up your journal

Settings → Back Up to iCloud copies your journal to your own iCloud Drive — you'll see progress as it copies. Large libraries take a few minutes the first time; later backups only copy what's new.

Restoring

On a new device, Settings → Restore from iCloud. Your entries appear within seconds; photos and videos follow with a progress bar. If any files were still syncing from iCloud, run Restore again later to pick them up.

Something looks wrong?

Email us with what you saw and roughly when — screenshots help a lot. Your journal content never leaves your device without your action, so include only what you're comfortable sharing.
