Dayleaf

Steps, sleep and heart rate, filed every morning

Use case · October 10, 2026

The numbers your watch collects and the words you write about your day have always lived in different apps. Put them on the same page and patterns appear that neither one shows alone: the week you slept under six hours is the week the entries got short and sharp. Dayleaf 2.5.0 makes that one line of setup.

🩺 The page you end up with

Each morning a Health planner gets a line like "7,120 steps · slept 7h 20m · resting heart rate 58", marked via muse. Below it, whatever you write that day. Week view puts seven of these side by side, which is where the pattern jumps out.

📱 With Muse on your phone

Muse can read health data you let it see. After the one-time connector setup in the docs, tell it:

"Every morning, write my steps, sleep duration and resting heart rate from yesterday into my Dayleaf Health planner as one line."

Muse keeps the routine. You can refine it in plain words later: "add my workout minutes", "skip days under 1,000 steps".

⌚ With Apple Shortcuts and no agent at all

Shortcuts can read Health and call a URL. Build a personal automation that runs at 7 am: three Find Health Samples actions (steps, sleep, resting heart rate), a Text action that joins them, then Get Contents of URL:

POST https://date-jotter-production.up.railway.app/v1/entries
Authorization: Bearer <your Dayleaf API key>
Content-Type: application/json
{"content": "7,120 steps · slept 7h 20m · RHR 58", "planner": "Health", "source": "shortcuts"}

The key comes from Settings → Cloud access for agents → Create API key. The entry lands on every device you are signed into.

🔒 What leaves your phone

Only the sentence you send. Dayleaf's server keeps a text copy of entries so agents can read them; it never sees your Health database, and the cloud door never carries photos or audio. Switch it off and the server copy is deleted.

Reading it back

This is where it pays off. Ask Claude, with the MCP server attached: "Compare my Health lines and my own entries for the last month. On which days did I sleep least, and what did I write those days?" The answer is the kind of thing a therapist would spot in week three.
